They Call Him OG

Watched #TheyCallHimOG: It’s truly a Pawan Kalyan film - made for the fans, by the fans, and dedicated to the fans!

The bigger the fan, the stronger the trance this movie creates. Fans will definitely watch it multiple times to relive the high.

For neutral audiences, the movie might feel like average commercial content, similar to films like Jailer, Leo, Pathaan, or Good Bad Ugly.

About the content: it follows the regular commercial gangster format, with stylish scenes and terrific background music from Thaman 🙏. The story itself is below average and can test patience. The much-hyped Saaho connection also didn’t fit in well.

Still, I admire Sujeeth’s effort. He had to work with very limited dates from Pawan, who has always relied more on his screen charisma than acting range. Within these limits, Sujeeth managed to create 4-5 adrenaline-pumping scenes that drove fans crazy, making them forget the flaws. Thaman’s music elevated the film into a treat for fans. He is the real HERO of this movie; I can’t even dare to imagine this movie without his BGM 🙏🙏

Neutral viewers may not enjoy it as much as fans. My real frustration, however, is with self-proclaimed reviewers who criticize every movie without understanding its intent. This film was always promoted as a cult fan movie, not a national-award-level story. Expecting otherwise is just unfair and shows how big an IDIOT you are.

Note: OG was always packaged as a cult fan movie. And though I usually watch films as a neutral movie lover, Sujeeth succeeded in waking up the long-forgotten PK fan in me - and satisfied him to the core!
