Watched #RangaMaarthaanda : A few years back I first saw the Teaser of Marathi film Natsamrat starring the great Nana Patekar and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar….It immediately grabbed my attention as it had an Actor and Director whom I adore a lot, though I haven’t watched the movie due to language constraints nor did I know the plot but I came to know that it was critically acclaimed….

years later when I came to know that Krishna Vamsi is remaking the same movie and had Prakash Raj in it, I was equally excited that another Director and Actor whom I adore are remaking the same movie which I missed to watch…..so this is one such movie which I couldn’t miss watching on Big Screen irrespective of what the talk was 😊

Coming to the story, it's similar to the lines of BaghBaan starring Amitabh and Hema Malini and many similar movies which deal with the concept of looking at our parents and the challenges faced by them in this modern world and career oriented and practical kids…..though there is nothing new in the story the way the screenplay included a Stage Artist's struggle in the modern day has been excellent

We all know how excellent Prakash Raj is as an actor and this movie just reminds us why he is considered as the best…..but the original show stealer in this movie is Brahmanandam….we all have grown up watching his comedy and cherish the memes created using his funny expressions….but this time he makes us CRY with his excellent portrayal of an emotional character and man he is an excellent actor which we failed to realise watching him do comedy!!! Hope this will be a new phase in his career and he will do many such roles in future🙏🙏

Shivathmika is a surprise in this movie as she made her presence felt with her acting skills and didn’t fade away among the acting pioneers….Rahul Sipligunj and Anasuya also made their presence felt…

Illayaraja music and BGM are soothing and lyrics have superb depth!!! Dialogues are excellent and have great philosophical depth…

Overall what could have been a good watch if you haven’t watched similar themed movies has become a MUST WATCH just because of Brahmanandam & Prakash Raj
