watched #KANNAPA : it's almost a 20 mins Prabhas film in which Manchu Vishnu did a Lengthy Cameo for 3 hrs 3 mins out of which he gave his Career best performance for 3 minutes (still mediocre or average performance compared to many other actors in Tollywood)

The Film starts with almost a 5-minute Song giving us insights about SRIKALAHASTI temple and in 10 min pre and post interval scenes we will be shown the past relationship between Lord Shiva and Kannapa and in the last 3 minutes we would be shown what we have been waiting to see for the last 3 hrs, I.e why Kannapa is considered one of the greatest Shiva Bhakts.

This could have been a nice 30 - 45 mins Film with proper impact and screenplay but unfortunately the Director has chosen this to be made at a length of 3 hrs 3 mins of never ending saga 🙏 But in the defence of the Director Mukesh Kumar Singh, he never had an experience of directing a Movie and all his experience is from TV serials and he did perfect justice to his experience by making this movie a never ending saga with very mediocre or Medium Budgeted TV serial Graphics

When you have 90% of the Star cast and Cameos either doing the movie for free or for peanuts and still if the Producer is claiming to spend 200 to 300 crores on this movie then we as the audience expect some grand visuals and good CGI but instead we get to see blurred images and most of the times you can almost feel the green screen…I guess team didn’t put any budget and intelligently blurred images to fool audience as if they had Censor Issues 😂

For the first time I was watching a Telugu movie trying to read the subtitles to understand dialogues….because 75% of the time you feel that the Voice has been dubbed by International English Medium Kids trying to speak proper Telugu with English accent and in some cases you will even find Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam accents as well 🙏 It's only Mohan Babu who as usual had proper command over the language and played his part well. Though Sarathkumar tried his best to deliver in proper Telugu but you can literally feel that he is trying very hard!!! Apart from Sarathkumar no other actor including Vishnu tried to work on their Telugu diction.

Also the film is totally shot in New Zealand and hence the forest background didn’t give me the local vibes instead they should have shot it in some forests near Kerala or North Eastern India 🤔. Because of the English Telugu Accent dialogues, Location and more importantly over the top makeup of each artist with Fake Tattoos…we will not get a feeling of watching a proper Telugu movie though the story is completely native ☹️

On top of it the First Half is Total Mess filled with Cringe scenes and dialogues like :

Nemali ni Pelli chesukoni Namili vadilestha!!

Till then Hero does all kinds of Romance in front of his Mother's Samadhi and suddenly says there is no Temple greater than his Mother's Samadhi for him 🙏

The movie had a lot of Lady Warriors but looks like their Fights have been choreographed by Dancers instead of Fight Masters!!! All their Moves look as if they're doing sexy dances with swords in their hands ☹️

All the Heroine scenes could be best suited for Liril soap ad campaigns 😂

I am not sure why we still need to follow Raghavendra Rao’s school of showing hot romance in devotional movies. The costumes of Heroine even while praying to God, give erotic vibes more than devotional feel

For the first time ever I have seen audience in PVR multiplex laughing out loud and booing scenes and banging heads for a movie which was supposed to be serious.

After you go through this awful experience….sometime in Second Half Prabhas comes as a saviour not only in the Film or For the Film but also to give solace to audience for going through all the torture 🙏

Of late I used to have complaints against Prabhas for his lazy acting and dialogue delivery style…..but in this movie I felt that his same style was whistle-worthy and subtle, it could be because of the role or dialogues he got or it could be completely because of the torture my mind went through after all those over the top acting by the remaining artists 😂

PS : My 12-year-old daughter forced me to add this line “in the name of Devotion don't take your kids to this movie and traumatise them”
