A Feel Good (?) Family Entertainer!!!! where Director Venky Atluri conveniently tries to normalize Family Taboos!!!
What I genuinely felt is, Mamitha Baiju as Maddy could have been what Genelia as Hasini was in Bommarillu!!!! Her character had that kind of potential, especially with her don’t-care Gen Z attitude, being cute and irritating at the same time!!!
But somehow, the Director restricted her character to just being cute and innocent, without giving it that final push it deserved!!!
It was refreshing to see Surya in a subtle role, especially after watching the over-energetic Veera Bhadrudu!!!
The Movie takes off pretty well and the First Half lands well too....
However, the Second Half goes flat, with neither really going up nor going down!!! But Venky Atluri smartly manages to ensure that the general audience doesn’t feel it much by keeping the overall mood light and handling what could have otherwise been some heavy moments quite simply!!!
Music by G.V. Prakash was refreshing and gives that nice soothing vibe throughout the Movie....
Overall, did I like the Movie? Maybe or Maybe Not....But did I feel bored while watching it? Definitely Not!!!!
The real problem starts only after you come back home and start thinking about what exactly you watched....and that’s when you slowly start noticing all the LOOPHOLES!!!!
This structure feels better because the Maddy thought, first-half/second-half observation, and final afterthought now each get their own breathing space.
