RAVANASURA
watched #Ravanasura : the major problem with established heroes trying something new or off-beat is that they don’t dive completely into it and stay true to the genre and instead try to balance it out with commercial elements, eventually ending up with neither this nor that….and Ravanasura is a perfect example of that!!!!
another problem is when established heroes try Negative/Psychopath characters there should be a much-needed twist stating that either he is acting like a baddie to catch real culprits or Killing only the baddies because of his emotional flashback…..only to justify hero’s image!!!!
the only hope I had for this film was its director Sudheer Varma, but man he disappointed me to the core…..though Ravi Teja as a Psycho Path was new and a treat to watch but at no point we feel excited as we already know that he would eventually be a Good person with a purpose 🤦♂️
Ravi Teja’s negative shade is the only positive in this movie and I honestly felt that he is far better as a baddie when compared to his now routine loud comedy…..
Songs are a BIG MINUS and BGM is just average…..apart from Sudheer Varma, it's the Ravanasura title song which grabbed my attention and was one of the reasons I was eager for this movie….but after watching I am not convinced that even the Title is apt for this movie 🤷🏻♂️
PS : I even didn’t like Dhamaka as well, but it turned out to be a hit….so may be Ravi Teja’s no-holds-barred negative characteristics may strike a chord with movie lovers!!!!
