Avatar: The Way of Water
watched #Avatar-TheWayOfWater : well, I have mixed feelings…..to be frank the AWE and WOW factor which I experienced watching Avatar 12 years back was missing.
Back then Avatar took us all by surprise with the scale of James Cameron's Visualisation and whatever hard work he put to invent the technology back then was clearly visible on the screen!!!
But may be due to the huge expectations or slow pace of the movie to come to the core point makes the whole first 1 hr feel as if we are watching the unseen scenes of Avatar which have been edited out and now rereleased after 12 years……and by the time the story moves into the WATER our enthusiasm already drops a bit 😞 However the initial setup of the Water world is beautifully captured and conveyed!!!!
The underwater scenes are excellent but still the Awe factor is missing as people had already set huge expectations on the movie….
unless you are aware that master craftsmen Cameron had to invent an all-new technology to capture motion sensor perfectly under water and that's when you start enjoying this masterpiece. That's the major drawback of this movie as 99% of the audience are least bothered about what technology is newly created or how much effort the team had to put in to shoot underwater and rather simply consider if the movie is engaging enough and the CGI is captivating or not!!!
Bottom line : If you have not watched Avatar previously then Avatar#2 is a Must Watch and especially for the kids……but if you have already watched Avatar and have lived through that hysteria that it had created back then, then keep your expectations as low as possible and watch the movie
