recently my friend Sandeep pointed out that most of my reviews start with the phrase “though I am not a big fan of ….” which made me realise that I have been using same pattern repeatedly…..Thanks to him I am trying to change my writing style, so this review is dedicated to him 🙏🙏🙏
to start off, I have watched Adipurush in TELUGU and 2D Version in CINIPOLIS, so my review is purely based on that experience…
NEGATIVE’s :
1. The Telugu dub has been horrible….there are lip sync issues even for Prabhas dialogues
2. Not sure how was the Star Cast selected…at least for me none of them looked perfect fit
3. Prabhas was expression less and Saif was over expressive in their respective roles…may be due to the high CGI involved 🤷🏻♂️
4. Though its a known story and we have been hearing this epic all along if you look at this movie as a standalone then there is no point in the movie where we can get emotionally connected to the onscreen characters….every emotion looked artificial without proper character depth!!! the only saving grace is that we all are well versed with the characters and we already known why a specific character behaves (thanks to the Puranas)
5. The CGI experience in 2D is HORRIBLE to say least….the Pillamari Raju shown in Omkar annaya’s Mayadeepam had far better Demons representation than this 300 crores epic 🤣
6. Coming to Graphics….forget about International standards these were on par when compared to our Indian Daily Soaps 🤦♂️
POSITIVE:
1. The only best thing for this movie is its wonderful BGM & Songs 🙌
after watching this epic movie my respect for Rajamouli grew multiple folds….as only intention to make a grand movie is not enough you need to have a great Vision, Visualisation and Execution to bring that grandness on screen 🙏
also previously I commented on Gunashekar for repeatedly trying to make periodic movies like Rudramadevi and Shakunthalam with below par graphics….but after watching this movie I felt Gunashekhar would have made a better Ramayana then Om Rauth!!!!
finally going to watch this movie again in 3D this Sunday….hope that at-least changes my views on CGI 🤞
Currently there is a ticket reserved for Lord Hanuman in each theatre but looking at the viewer’s experience post weekend the whole theatre should be reserved for Vanara Saynam 🙏
After watching the movie again today in 3D, i felt that 3D version is far better in providing quality experience of whatever they made….where as 2D version was just horrible. I wonder why even they released a 2D version which has led to this disastrous talk for the movie, whereas the 3D version audiences will at least give an average experience to viewers for CGI
